Life is the interplay of hard and soft. Rough and smooth.

Tatiana is made of that tension. The piece carries the marks of its own making — the breaking, the chipping, the chiselling that had to happen before the form could appear. Rough unfinished edge against smooth feminine curve. Each needs the other.

A record of the paradox that something delicate is usually arrived at through harsh labour. What we value most is chipped out of resistance.
